The Office of the Commissioner for Higher Entrance Examination established in 1983 is responsible authority for conduct of various entrance examinations for admission into higher education programs in different institutions of the state. The Office conducts the entrance examinations with a purpose to select eligible meritorious students who would be able to complete the course work and may add value to the society after completing the studies. The final selection of candidates is done through competitive examinations of very good standard. The subject expert in the field made responsible for setting of question papers. A scientific method is being followed in the evaluation, ranking, selection and admission using Computers. The system followed was also upheld by the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala. Initially the office was made responsible to conduct only two examinations i.e. for admission into Engineering and Medical / Agricultural Courses. Now CEE Office conducts 13 different examinations given below.
