Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, a dedicated university where Sanskrit is not only taught but also preserved. The University was established in the year 1993 by the Government of Kerala.
The university has been named in the honour of the well known sage and philosopher Sree Sankaracharya.
The university has been established with an objective to make people knowledgeable about the India’s ancient language Sanskrit. The university also imparts education in Indology, Indian Culture, Indian Languages, Indian Philosophy, Fine Arts, Foreign Languages and Social Science.
The University functions with nine regional centres locate in the state.
