Kerala Agricultural University

The Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Kerala came into being on 24 February 1971 under the Agricultural University Act 1971. The university became functional from 1 February 1972. The university building is situated at Vellanikkara in the Thrissur District on the National Highway (NH47). The university has given the responsibility by the government to conduct undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in different disciplines of Agricultural Sciences.
